Fan View: I Could Be Negative, But...

Try as he might, all on Jeff B's mind is that it's... A Win! A Win!! A Browns Wiiiiiiinnnnn!!!!

Isn't it a sad state of affairs when, as a fan, you are just HAPPY your team finally won, no matter how bad they looked doing it?

Ok, they didn't look bad all the way around.

The defense played great, Jamal Lewis didn't look like he had any lingering injury issues and how about the Browns special teams today, especially they're punting unit?

Are you kidding me with the number of times they pinned Buffalo deep in their own territory?

Memo to Dave Zastudil and the coverage team.  WE'RE NOT WORTHY, WE'RE NOT WORTHY, WE'RE NOT WORTHY.

Memo to Robert Royal.  YOU'RE NOT WORTHY.

Robert Royal seems determined to pick up where Braylon Edwards left off.  Same with Josh Cribbs, Mohamed Massaquoi, Chansi Stuckey and the rest of the Browns receiving corps.

I know Derek Anderson doesn't throw the softest or prettiest ball but for the love of Pete, when he did throw it, he generally hit a receiver in their hands!!!!!

I tried to explain to a buddy that didn't see the game that Derek Anderson's final stats were NOT reflective of how he actually played.

Did he play lights out football?

No.

Did he play 2 of 17 for 23 yards football?

Hardly.

In the 2nd half, whenever D.A. would put the ball in the air, I just didn't get excited.  After watching the first half, I knew instinctively that it was going to doink off someone's hands.

Is "doink" a word?  I don't think so.......but it does describe what I saw/felt from the Browns, er, ha ha ha, er, excuse me, haahahahahahah..........wide receivers.

Sorry....the thought of calling them wide receivers made me laugh.

Having said all that, Jamal Lewis, the defense and the special teams REALLY came through today.  You have to give the Browns credit for going on the road to Buffalo and breaking their 10 game losing streak.

How bad must you feel if you're a Buffalo fan right now?  You hold the opposing QB to 23 yards passing at home and you LOSE?

Don't you think there is a T.O. explosion right around the corner after that pathetic display of non-offense from the Bills?

Even though I know the Browns are going nowhere fast, it did feel GOOD to get that losing streak over with.

And you know what, I'll forgive the Browns all their past sins over the last 10 games of losses I had to endure if they would only find a way to beat Pittsburgh next week and really derail their season.

Ok, so I'm a little high over the win today.

I can dream, can't I?
