Browns Pro Bowl kick returner and wide receiver Josh Cribbs sounds much different than he did right after the season ended.
The week that Mike Holmgren was named as team president, Cribbs cleaned out his locker in Berea and said he didn't think he'd ever play for the Browns again.
He was a guest on WKNR's Tony Rizzo on Thursday and he was talking about his quest for a new contract.
"It's going really good," Cribbs said about the talks. "I'll be happy when (the deal) is finally done."
Cribbs sounded as though the talks have progressed nicely.
"I think it will be done before the (Indianapolis) NFL Combine."
The combine starts on Feb. 25.
