Front Office Overhaul Continues

The coaching staff may remain the same, but change is the rule elsewhere. Find out the latest changes to the Browns front office, exclusively on the Orange and Brown Report...

Scout.com's Adam Caplan is reporting that the Cleveland Browns are continuing to remake their scouting department in a bold new image... albeit one that looks very much like the Philadelphia Eagles.

With the draft and rookie free agent signings in the books, the Browns are making changes on the college scouting side, much like they overhauled the pro player scouting department earlier this year.

"At least two area scouts are expected to be let go", Caplan told theOBR this morning. "The Browns are expected to hire college scout Johnathon Stigall (currently with the Eagles) to their college scouting staff.

The big move is with college scouting director Pat Roberts. He's expected to be replaced with Browns' personnel executive John Spytek, who came over from the Eagles in January. It's not known if Roberts will be reassigned or has been let go.

New Browns GM Tom Heckert is clearly bringing over individuals that he is familiar with, and continues his raid on the Eagles front office. Naturally, the new hires infer that some of the existing college scouting staff will be let go, but as of this morning there has been announcement by the team or changes to the listing of scouting staff on the team's official web site.
