Don Delco Joins the OBR

The OBR team adds's Don Delco to the gang as we prep for the 2010 season...

Two years after starting independent Cleveland Browns blog, and developing it into one of the leading Cleveland sports blogs, founder Don Delco is joining the staff of leading independent Browns media outlet The Orange and Brown Report.

Starting as a contributing writer to the Michigan City News-Dispatch back in 1995, Delco had the opportunity to cover the Chicago Bears home games to get his first taste of NFL reporting. Since that time, Delco has covered countless events at the prep and college level, culminating in his work at ThisWeek News, where Delco has won numerous sportswriting awards from the Cleveland Press Club and Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.

"We've made a number of changes over the course of the past year to stake out a new direction for our website, magazine, and other media efforts," founder Barry McBride said. "Adding Don to our team gives us an experienced blogger, editor, and reporter who can help us continue to provide instant response to breaking news and 365-day-a-year coverage."

Prior to the 2008 football season, Delco founded Cleveland Browns blog, where his daily analysis of Cleveland Browns news built to monthly traffic of more than 40,000 unique visitors within two years. With daily, fresh content throughout the season, NoLogoNeeded quickly emerged as a key stop for Browns fans looking for alternatives to mainstream media coverage of the Browns.

"The passion Browns fans have for this team isn't contained to Sundays in the fall," Delco said. "They consume as much news and analysis about this team as possible. In this new media world, no one does it better than The OBR. I'm humbled for the opportunity to work with the talented staff at The OBR."

On the OBR, Don will work with the team of McBride, Fred Greetham, Lane Adkins and John Taylor, as well as contributors Brent Sobleski, Joe Brownlee, and NFL experts Adam Caplan, Chris Steuber, and Ed Thompson.
