What We've Been Told

Lane Adkins has the latest on the Browns players who are hot, who are not and the very latest on the situation with injured players...

- Defensive lineman Shaun Rogers is expected to be out of live training camp action for at least two more weeks.

- Defensive lineman C.J. Mosely could join the troops in live training camp practice sessions within a week.

- Defensive back Coye Francies could be on the practice field next week.

- Rookie running back Montario Hardesty is expected to miss another two weeks because of a knee injury sustained prior to the start of camp.

- The coaching staff has been pleased with the overall efficiency of the offense, but they believe there is still plenty of room to improve.

- Wide receiver Brian Robiskie has done well in training camp. The coaching staff expected to see the second-year player at this stage of development.

- The emergence of rookie offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao and solid play coming from veteran Floyd Womack could push veteran John St. Clair to the roster bubble. Presently, free agent acquisition Tony Pashos, who is slated to play at right tackle, has recovered from an illness (food poising) that prevented him from practicing.

- Rookie safety T.J. Ward has had his fair share of camp highlights, as well as mishaps, but he is continuously improving and could become a vital member of the defensive backfield.

- Despite Sheldon Brown and Eric Wright appearing to be the starting cornerbacks, rookie Joe Haden and Brandon McDonald are having good camp sessions to date.

- While the Browns are not noting it, quarterback Jake Delhomme is the starter and would have to fare terribly throughout camp before being removed. This isn't to say the coaching staff doesn't have a plan for Seneca Wallace, they do. Wallace is going to see the playing field in 2010, whether it's as a starter or a backup.
