SUMMARY: It was a sloppy (fake) game that will soon be forgotten, but one player may have started to burn himself in the memories of Browns fans: tough downhill runner Peyton Hillis. Browns fans love running backs who run over people, which is what Hillis does with abandon. Meanwhile, some players just hanging onto roster spots didn't do themselves any favors with fans, as WR Syndric Steptoe again earned disfavor with his performance. Jerome Harrison's fumbling shows that Browns fans are as unforgiving as the team's head coach when it comes to turnovers.

|held relatively well all game. back was up against the fence with turnovers and forced rams to kick fg's and not score tds.|
|chowdogg||Danso's injuried little finger [Wink wink IR]
If we ever need a spark....put Hillis in
|Hillis is a beast! Watson has played great ball so far. Haden had by far his best showing so far.|
|Hillis and Watson showed up and JAke had a good game despite a missed snap.|
|houndfromhell||I didnt get to see the game, but I
read the stat`s. If I didnt already know who won, I`d swear the Browns whupped their butt`s.
Turnovers are killer.......
|Glad to see Delhomme rebound from the lousy
first quarter and put together a respectable game. DA or Quinn would've
folded after that first drive.
And Vickers is an absolute beast. Get him a longterm extension now, he's killing people out there!
|djw333||Excellent performances by Hillis, Watson, and Wright. Most of the rest of the team, not so much.|
|BrownsFan1313||Nothing better than watching Joe Thomas stonewall whomever is in front of him, and then seeing Vickers light up a safety or LBer.|
|iwannabeadawg||Dave Zastudil wins since he did not have to be on the field and play in that embarrassment of a game.|
|Eric Wright was aggressive and made some plays
on the ball that could have been interceptions. Good pass defense.
Hillis showed his value both as a receiver and a ball carrier. He will be a valuable asset when we need to go run-heavy. Vickers was a big part of his success last night too.
I liked how Haden flashed as a kick returner and he had one or two good pass break ups that show his promise.
|HOW BOUT SOME BIG PROPS FOR THE FANS THAT WATCHED THE GAME; BIGGER PROPS FOR THOSE WHO STAYED AFTER HALFTIME. HERE WE GO BROWNIES, HERE WE GO. WUFF WUFF!!|
|If I was a billionaire owner of the Browns, I would have given all those who stayed something only a billionaire owner could provide. $$$$|
|BuckeyeDawg1969||Come on guys, it's Cleveland - the weather is your best friend next to the fans! Hold on to the mellon!|
|brownsclown||It was fun watching smash mouth, in your face running football. Vickers leading the play and Hillis running hard. Ben Watson had a great catch and a good game. He will help us alot.|
|TaipeiDawg||This is going to be great with Hillis - he's
gonna get the crowd going with effort like that.
Watson is looking great so far.
Delmomme and Wallace seem to be upgrades over last year, which is nice.
Honorable mention for nice plays to Stuckey, Haden, Harrison, Robinson, and Roth.
Kudos to the fans that went and sat through the monsoon. The support did not go unnoticed by the players.
|Aqib||Seneca Wallace looks like the best of the QBs. Hillis's hard runs were entertaining. Fans deserve one for sitting through the deluge.|
|houndfromhell||The Ram`s didnt beat the Browns, The
Browns beat themselves. Stop the turnovers and penalties then this team will go far....
|DrMemory||For turning Brady Quinn in to Peyton Hillis|
|Eric Wright will be a pro bowl consideration this year... Document that!|
|sargent3||Sloopy but still looked improved over last season..|
|clearly this made the game unenjoyable for the browns offense.|
|The defense sucks|
|roscoe2009||Coach Rob your defense still suck's,do we need better player's or a new cordinator.|
|chowdogg||Colt McCoy doesn't make us forget Quinaderson
It also has been a good run by Steptoe ...he has danced and juked the most out of his holdout and injury for 3 years on the roster....its about the last song
|Elam needs to go bye bye. Mitchell cant afford to drop passes like the one that hit him in the chest last night. Barton stunk on that opening drive!|
|Cribbs and Harrison need to hold on to the ball. No excuse for the fumbles.|
|houndfromhell||I dont see any goats. I must admit, I
cant understand the Browns being a team
playing their games outdoors, fumbling
the ball and a indoor team (Ram`s) didnt
have nearly the problems that the Browns did.
Without the 5 or was it 6 turnovers
the Browns dominated in every catagory
except for defensive sacks.
I hope the turnovers are now out of their system.....GO BROWNS SUPERBOWL
|Hang onto the damn ball, guys. The first couple of series looked like the a Marx Brothers skit with a greased pig. Also, Billy Yates may have played himself off the team--a false start & a sack isn't going to keep you employed.|
|djw333||Goodbye, Mr. Steptoe.|
|iwannabeadawg||Everyone was losers for that game. I feel sorry for the fans, teams, and even the refs who had to watch that poor performance (from both teams).|
|Elam seems a step slow or, is usually trailing the play. I hope eventually Assante or, Adams overtake him.|
|Forward progress??? What a concept!!! When it is not stopped, don't blow the whistle, Mr. Zebra!|
|I THINK THE THE BROWNS PLAYERS OUTTA BRING ALL OF THEIR RAIN GEAR TO PRACTICE. I HAVE A HUNCH MANGINI WS NONE TOO THRILLED WITH THAT PERFORMANCE IN THE RAIN.|
|Wanting to be a male model starts with home. I think Braylon hopes to get SAG eligible by appearing on hard knocks but something tells me he'll just DROP the idea when the rookies stop carrying his man purse. Er show der ma pads !!!|
|BuckeyeDawg1969||Yea, they were pretty bad in general...|
|brownsclown||Colt McCoy looks lost. Good thing we dont need him right away. Do you feel safe with him at # 3 and letting Ratliff go? Can we keep 4? Offensively we played OK but 5 turnover is a recipe for lost.|
|bohns75||Get rid of Steptoe. He's always been a bum.
Back to back INT drops by Eric Wright. He's a backup at best.
|Where was Marcus Benard?|
|TaipeiDawg||Not only were the Rams announcers on NFL Gamepass total homers but they could even put a Rams fan to sleep. Argh, 3 full quarters of that was awful. Give me Bernie any day of the week!|
|Aqib||I don't care about the stat sheet I didn't
like what I saw out of Delhomme. Both TD drives this preseason would
have ended in FGs if it was the regular season since we wouldn't go for
on 4th down.
McCoy is showing everything that people were knocking him for before the draft.
Ratliff is not good.
Holly Strano gets a goat for saying the rain was ending during the first quarter weather report and it didn't stop until after the game.
|houndfromhell||I put Harrison just because of the fumbles,
and I know he wont be a goat for the rest of the year.
As for Barton and Elam, they are there for impersonating starting defensive players. Neither one should be on this team, if they dont get waived soon, then I will have to question the General managers talent
|DrMemory||Mangini didn't have the team prepared to play in bad weather, they better get that fixed before November.|
|sargent3||Josh fumbled. The Defense no sacks no forced turnovers for us. Brian Daboll for not pushing more and being basicall out coached by the rams..|
