Tampa Bay's interest in drafting a tight end this weekend likely decreased Friday after the team re-signed TE Rickey Dudley to a one-year deal.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Dudley, a eight-year veteran, played in 14 regular season games with three starts after signing with the Bucs on Sept. 17.

The 6-foot-6, 255-pound Dudley hauled in 16 passes for 192 yards and scored three touchdowns last season.

Before joining Tampa Bay last season, Dudley played with the Oakland Raiders from 1996-00. He spent three of those seasons playing under head coach Jon Gruden. Dudley spent 2001 with the Cleveland Browns.

Dudley has started 85 of the 98 games he's played in during his eight-year career, catching 211 career passes for 2,934 yards and scoring 32 touchdowns.
