Bucs Re-Sign LB Golden

May 12 - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed free-agent linebacker Jack Golden to a one-year contract Monday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Golden played in 13 regular season games and all three post-season contests for the Bucs last season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added depth to its linebacker corps Monday by re-signing unrestricted free agent LB Jack Golden to a one-year deal.

Golden appeared in 13 regular season contests and all three of post-season games for the Bucs last season. Golden was a special teams standout for the Bucs, notching 13 tackles and one forced fumble.

Tampa Bay originally claimed Golden off waivers just over a year ago. The Bucs released him on Sept. 4 but re-signed him to its active roster three weeks later.

Golden originally entered the National Football League as an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants in 2000. He spent his first two seasons with the Giants.
