The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed running back Morgan Kane to a one-year contract Friday.

Terms of the deal were not dislosed.

The 6-foot, 221-pound Kane entered the National Football League in 2000 as an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers.

Kane, who played collegiately at Wake Forest, had brief stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars' five-man practice squad and was allocated to NFL Europe by the Baltimore Ravens last year.

The addition of Kane gives Tampa Bay six running backs on its roster. Including fullbacks, the Bucs have nine backs on its roster, which is the same amount the team took to training camp last year.
