Buccaneers Sign Kicker and Quarterback

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed kicker Ralf Kleinmann and quarterback Shane Stafford to one-year contracts.

Ralf Kleinmann, a three-time World Bowl champion, currently ranks fourth on the NFL Europe all-time scoring list, and hold the record for most career extra-points in the World Bowl with 15 in five games. He connected on 10 of 14 field goals and 22 of 23 extra points in 2003, helping the Frankfurt Galaxy win their third NFL Europe title. Kleinmann, who has spent seven seasons with the Galaxy (1995-2000, 2003), has helped lead the team to five World Bowl games. Shane Stafford has played professional football in Tampa before, leading the Tampa Bay Storm to the Arena Football League playoffs in 2002. In two seasons with the Storm, Stafford threw for 2,934 yards, 53 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions. Prior to playing for the Storm, Stafford led the Arena Football 2 League with 85 touchdowns in the 2000 season with the Tallahassee Thunder, twice throwing nine TD's in one game. Most recently, Stafford has spent time with NFL Europe's Scottish Claymores as an allocated player from the New England Patriots.
