Bucs Sign WR Mike Chandler to a One-Year Contract

July 31 – The Buccaneers have been in camp for two days now, but that is not stopping their front office from adding players to their roster. Tampa Bay signed WR Mike Chandler to a one-year contract. Buccaneer Magazine also has the latest on the injury front for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Buccaneers decided to add some more depth to their wide receiver position on Tuesday by signing WR Mike Chandler to a one-year contract. Chandler, who played at the University of Kansas in college, finished his career with 82 receptions for 1,050 yards and five touchdowns. Chandler will sport the jersey #17.

On the injury front, the Buccaneers have several players who are a little dinged up.

Wide receiver Reidel Anthony (left ankle sprain), QB Brad Johnson (right knee laceration) and P Mark Royals (MCL sprain) all remain sidelined.

Rookie G Russ Hochstein (right hand fracture), CB Terrance Parrish (right achillies strain), WR Frank Rice (right hamstring strain) and RB Jamie Wilson (left hamstring strain) also missed practice on Tuesday.

Running back Pepe Pearson (dehydration) and LB Nate Webster (right lower back strain) missed both practices on Tuesday, but are expected to return on Wednesday. Wide receiver Jacquay Nunnally (right hamstring strain) is probable for Wednesday's workouts.
