Bucs A.M. Camp Notes - 8/8

August 8 - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers welcomed QB Shaun King back to camp on Wednesday morning, but QB Ryan Leaf was missing in action and from camp. Meanwhile, RT George Hegamin picked up and left camp. Buccaneer Magazine was on hand at Pepin-Rood Stadium Wednesday morning to find out the latest news on the Pewter Pirates.

Here are some quick hits from Wednesday morning's practice at the University of Tampa's Pepin-Rood Stadium.

KING IS BACK: QB Shaun King returned to practice on Wednesday morning after he had missed Monday and Tuesday's practices due to a sore shoulder. King hurt his throwing shoulder on Satuday during a team scrimmage, but an MRI on it was negative.

LEAF MISSING: QB Ryan Leaf was MIA from practice on Wednesday morning, but his absence was excused by head coach Tony Dungy. Leaf is believed to be attending a funeral for a friend or family member.

FINGER BACK: TE Dauntae' Finger was at practice on Wednesday morning and appears to be doing fine after being taken to the hospital on Monday afternoon with an irregular heartbeat and shortness of breath.

"The tests came back negative," said Finger. "I'm fine."

HEGAMIN LEAVES BUCS' CAMP: RT George Hegamin has left training camp for "personal reasons". His absence has been excused by Coach Tony Dungy, but some reports are suggesting he was unhappy with playing time and left camp because of it. Buccaneer Magazine can not confirm or deny this report, but we are looking into it.
