The Buccaneers in the fourth-round of the 1999 draft selected Jackson, who played in college at Florida State. In his first two seasons with Tampa Bay, Jackson was a special teams standout, recording 37 tackles and on defense, recorded 30 more.
In the Buccaneers' 7-6 loss to the Browns on Saturday night, Jackson had two tackles, but more importantly, came up with two interceptions.
Jackson's first interception came in the first quarter when Browns' QB Tim Couch threw a high pass intended for WR Kevin Johnson. But Johnson tipped the ball in the air and Jackson intercepted the ball with his fingertips while was flat on his back.
Unfortunately, Jackson's second interception, which he returned 50-yards to Cleveland's 20, did not count because of an illegal contact penalty called on his teammate, S David Gibson.
Perhaps Jackson is making a habit of coming up with interceptions in pairs. In last year's preseason opener against the Redskins, Jackson intercepted QB Jeff George twice.
Jackson is Buccaneer Magazine's MVP of the Bucs-Browns game from Saturday night.
