Joe Adams Signed by the Texans

The Texans added two more players to fill out their 90 man roster.

The Houston Texans have signed free agent wide receiver Joe Adams and offensive tackle Brice Schwab to fill out their 90 man roster in training camp.

Joe Adams (5-11, 185 lbs.) was drafted in 2012 NFL Draft out of Arkansas by the Carolina Panthers in the 4th round (104th overall). The SEC special teams player of the year in 2011, Adams struggled with the Panthers during his rookie season which eventually led to his release. He only appeared in 9 games in 2012 and had one reception for seven yards and with two fumbles in a game against the New York Giants caused him to get benched from his return duties. Adams was waived by the Panthers and was out of football all of 2013 until this past season when he went to the CFL to spend time with the Edmonton Eskimos before singing with the Texans.

The Texans also added offensive tackle Brice Schwab (6-7, 302 lbs.) who was an undrafted free agent from Arizona State after the 2013 NFL draft. He spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots.
