According to multiple reports, the Bucs have agreed to terms on a deal for WR/KR/PR Trindon Holliday. The diminutive returner is the only man in NFL history to have a kickoff and punt return for a touchdown in the same game in the NFL postseason. He did that against the Ravens in 2012 while playing for the Broncos.
After two years in Denver, he spent last summer with the New York Giants before getting cut before Week 1. The Bears worked out Holliday last week. He has six return touchdowns in his career. Fumbling has been the one issue that has kept him from having a stable job in the NFL.
Lovie Smith talked about changes to his 1-5 team and this could be one of those moves. Wide Receiver Solomon Patton has struggled in the return game. Expect Holliday to get an opportunity starting this weekend against the Vikings.
