Bucs Find Themselves Facing More Questions

The Buccaneers are walking with their heads down more and more. With each loss being added to their record, this team has been looking around searching for answers. Here we are with Week 8 in the books and players seem like they don't have much else to say to describe this debacle of a season.

Tampa Bay's locker room has been a somber one as of late for all the reasons that it should be. It was no different after Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings as the mood has been one of a not so confident team.

“It’s the story of our life right now," cornerback Alterraun Verner said after the game. "In the Panthers game we battled back and ended up losing. With the Rams, we battled back and ended up losing. We have to learn from these games and find a way to win like we did during the Steelers game.”

But they haven't found a way to win. Instead they have found ways to lose. It's the perfect formula for a losing season and a bad football team. They had two weeks to figure things out during the bye week and still have no answers, especially when it comes to slow starts on offense.

“We’re still searching for the answers," said quarterback Mike Glennon. "It [has been] a lot of games in a row where we’ve come out slow [and then] picked things up in the second half. So we’re still looking for that answer because it has been a problem of ours all season long.”

It's tough to pinpoint the exact problem -- or problems -- this Lovie Smith-led team is faced with. Is it coaching? Is it the players? Both go hand-in-hand.

Perhaps it's the scheme? Or maybe the playcalling? How about everything that has been mentioned?

Linebacker Lavonte David is probably the only real bright spot on the team. He looks like a one man wrecking crew after his 14-tackle performance on Sunday. But his efforts are being wasted and overshadowed by a poor team.

David is the only legitimate answer, defensive tackle Gerald McCoy and surely be mentioned in the same conversation if you'd like. But with those answers come lots of questions and right now there are for more questions than this organization can handle.
