It might have been another loss for the Bucs on Sunday, but a glimpse at a very bright future for Mike Evans was something to get excited about.
Evans ended the day Sunday with 7 receptions for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns. He would have had two more touchdowns if he had a quarterback that could get him the ball with just a little bit of accuracy.
“Mike really stepped up," Mike Glennon said of Mike Evans. "Like I have been saying, he’s getting better and better every week."
Evans had found the end-zone in games against the Steelers and Ravens, but Sunday was a breakout game for the young star.
“They were playing a lot of man coverage, being disrespectful to come down pressing us," Evans said of the Browns defensive strategy. "We just executed and took advantage.”
As I said back in May when the Bucs selected him, Mike Evans will be an All-Pro, it's just a matter of time.
I can't wait to see how good Evans could be with quality quarterback play throwing to him. I guess we'll just have to hope that is on the horizon.
