As soon as the Buccaneers hired Lovie Smith to be their head coach, all eyes were on when Lovie would make his return to Chicago. That day is Sunday for both Lovie Smith and Josh McCown, but rain might put a damper on a potential vengeful return for both.
The Weather Channel is currently saying there is a 90% chance of rain in Chicago on Sunday, but mostly in the evening. There is just a 35% chance of rain at 1:00, but the percentage progressively goes up over the next 3 hours.
The Bucs have found new life in the pass game with the emergence of Mike Evans as one of the best young receivers in the NFL. Unfortunately, the Bucs ground game has still been non-existent no matter who has been carrying the football.
If the rain starts to come down and the game turns into a slop-fest on Sunday, it will be interesting to see how the Bucs deal with that kind of adversity on the road against a team more capable of establishing the run game.
