Marc Sessler, who is a writer for Around the NFL, recently graded this year's draft class on offense. As you can imagine, Bucs rookie wide receiver Mike Evans graded out well. Here is what Sessler said about the Bucs wideout:
"One of the biggest playmakers from this year's draft class, Evans leads all rookies with 19 catches of 20-plus yards. The Bucs receiver has grown over the second half of the season, ranking fourth among all NFL wide receivers in the third quarter of the NFL season with 430 yards through the air," Sessler said. "Evans has the size and strength to dominate cornerbacks, making plays every week despite the absence of a reliable quarterback." Grade: A-
Panthers wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin received an A- while Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham earned an A+. This wide receiver class could be one of the better ones in recent history. Evans has the size and speed to be an elite receiver for year's to come. Now the Bucs just have to find more pieces to compliment his talents on offense.
