The Commish's Bucs-Panthers Prediction

Just when you thought the Bucs would not have another shot to get their first win against a backup quarterback, Cam Newton has a car accident and Derek Anderson gets the start for the Panthers. The Bucs have already lost to Derek Anderson once this season, but will they do it again?

It's been the Jonathan Stewart show on the ground for the Panthers over the past couple weeks. In the last 2 weeks, Stewart has 32 carries for 240 yards and a touchdown. Through the air it still falls on two targets in tight end Greg Olsen and wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin. Benjamin has 848 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns on the year.

The Panthers offensive line is still their achilles heal. Amini Silatolu has not practiced again this week, so he is unlikely to play. This should be a game where the Bucs defensive line should take charge and get to the immobile Derek Anderson.

The Panthers defense has not been the dominant unit they were a year ago. Sack numbers are down and their turnover ratio is -1 on the season. Opposing offenses have been able to run on the Panthers this season. Unfortunately, the Bucs haven't been able to run on anyone this year.

Official Prediction: 21-13 Panthers
