Mike Evans is Not Favorite to Win OROY

I think we all sit down each Sunday while watching Mike Evans and think that there is not way another player could win the Offensive Rookie of the Year over him. No rookie receiver has ever had a 3-game stretch that Evans had in November where he had at least 7 catches, over 124 yards, and at least a touchdown in each game. However, many other rookie WRs are doing similar things.

According to Bovada.com, Odell Beckham Jr. of the Giants is the favorite to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award followed by Mike Evans, Kelvin Benjamin, and Jeremy Hill.

While Evans might have more touchdowns, Beckham Jr. has become the top target with the Giants in just 9 games started this season. Beckham has 71 catches for 972 yards and 9 touchdowns. When you compare that to Evans' 59 catches for 948 yards and 11 touchdowns in 13 games started, it's safe to see why Beckham is favored for the award.
