The Buccaneers announced on Friday that they have agreed to a multi-year extension with receiver Louis Murphy. The extension is believed to be for 3 years.
Murphy has played in 11 games this season, totaling 31 catches for 380 yards and 2 touchdowns.
A native of St. Petersburg, Murphy attended Lakewood High School before becoming a Florida Gator.
Murphy was slated to be a free agent this off-season, but with speculation revolving around Vincent Jackson's inflated salary and the possibility of him being moved this off-season, the Bucs locked up a reliable target for whomever the starting quarterback is next season.
