Bucs Bring Back Mike Jenkins

The Bucs appear to be bringing back Mike Jenkins for another season.

According to Luke Easterling of DraftBreakdown.com, the Bucs are bringing back cornerback Mike Jenkins on a one-year deal.

Jenkins signed a 1-year deal with the Bucs last off-season worth $1.5 million. I would expect the money to be similar for the 2015 season.

The former USF standout was a starter in the Bucs 1st game of the season against the Carolina Panthers. Following that game, Jenkins was placed on injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle.

The Bucs are likely bringing Jenkins back as a 3rd outside cornerback, and not a "nickel/slot" cornerback. I anticipate the Bucs still being on the search for that specialized position this off-season, although it is not one of their more glaring needs.
