Bucs "Increasingly Sold" on Jameis Winston

It appears the Bucs might be locked in with their first pick, so the real speculation for their draft picks starts in round two.

The build up to the NFL Draft is just as good as the draft itself. Speculation gets every team's fans excited about what possibly could happen with their team. For the Buccaneers, the speculation might need to begin in the 2nd round because the 1st round pick might be close to locked up.

According to CBS Sports' NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, "the Bucs brass is increasingly sold on Jameis Winston with the first-overall pick." La Canfora also states he does not believe that this is a smokescreen.

I agree with La Canfora that the Bucs will not smokescreen with the top pick. The Bucs are already basing their all of their marketing efforts with the top pick in the draft. That pick will be a quarterback, and I fully believe that quarterback will be Jameis Winston.

During his latest "Move the Sticks" podcast on Jameis Winston, NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah said, ""I don’t think they have a choice. I think they have to take Jameis Winston with the first overall pick."

On social media, the Jameis Winston "haters" are dwindling in numbers, Bucs fans are growing with excitement over the potential of Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota's ceiling appears to be the Titans 2nd overall pick in the draft.

The Bucs still have needs along their offensive line and at defensive end, but that speculation on those players will begin in round two. Without a franchise quarterback in place, those positions won't mean much in terms of playoffs anyways. The Bucs will have their franchise quarterback in Jameis Winston on April 30th.
