A pro day by itself should not be the deciding factor on whether a team will take a specific player. However, a team's actions at a player's pro day can be a pretty good indication of what they are thinking.
The Bucs sent 8-9 people to cover FSU's pro day on Tuesday. That contingent included GM Jason Licht, head coach Lovie Smith, Director of Player Personnel and Licht's right-hand man Jon Robinson, and offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter.
Jason Licht was quoted as calling the workout, "outstanding." He was also caught with a big smile on his face during the entire workout by Jameis Winston.
Mid-way through Winston's workout, our Scout reporters noticed Dirk Koetter walk away from a group of people watching Winston with a "huge smile on his face."
"There's no doubt they're (Bucs) taking him (Jameis Winston) with the first pick," former Bucs GM Mark Dominik said on ESPN following the workout.
No, I do not believe the Bucs are taking Winston because of his pro day on Tuesday. I believe the Bucs are taking Winston because of their own performance on Tuesday.
