If you were worried that Jameis Winston would have another run-in with crab legs, think again.
TMZ.com posted a story on Sunday that Skipper's Smokehouse in Tampa was willing to "hook up" Jameis Winston with as much free crab legs as he could eat if the Bucs select him on Thursday.
The Tampa Tribune got in touch with Skipper's Smokehouse to confirm the offer.
“Yes, it’s for real,” Cricket Larson, spokesperson for Skipper’s, said via the Tampa Tribune. “TMZ contacted us as a joke, but we really will honor it if he wants to come in.”
Larson would go on to say that the free crab legs would be offered to Winston for as long as he is a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“We are aware that there have been some off the field incidents and allegations against (Winston) that the Skipper’s Smokehouse ownership, staff and management do not condone,” the restaurant said in a statement. “But we do think with the support of the Tampa Bay community and folks like Derrick Brooks, Jameis can grow into a good asset for our team.”
All signs continue to point to Winston being the Bucs first pick on Thursday night.Subscribe to The Commish Online Podcast on iTunes!
