In the 5th round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Bucs went back to their offense and selected speed receiver Kenny Bell out of Nebraska. Bell (6'1'' 197 lbs) ran a 4.38 40 yard dash and has a knack for getting deep on defenses and making plays down the field.
The first thing I notice when watching Bell is that he does an excellent job at catching the ball with soft hands away from his body. Coming from a run-heavy offense at Nebraska, Bell's evaluation is tough, but the natural talent is there.
Bell also possesses all of the intangibles a team looks for in a player. He was a captain and leader at Nebraska, has a tremendous work ethic, and is the son of a former NFL player.
Bell can also contribute on special teams as a gunner and return man. He averaged more than 25 yards per kick return at Nebraska.Subscribe to The Commish Online Podcast on iTunes!
