Patrick Murray has struggled this preseason. He has missed field goals and extra points. Murray's play has been so erratic that the Bucs felt the need to go out and sign another kicker to likely take his place.
Welcome back Connor Barth. Barth lost out to Murray a year ago. He would go on to sign and be very successful with the Denver Broncos. The Broncos just recently decided to go with the big leg kicker in Brandon McManus and released Barth just days ago.
Barth did have a stellar 5 games with the Broncos in 2014 when he connected on 15-16 field goals. For the Bucs and Murray in this preseason, Murray has already missed 2 field goals and an extra point.
The Bucs have signed Barth to a 2-year contract, which likely means Murray's days are numbered.
