Bucs' Injury Report

September 7 – Tampa Bay will open up the 2001 regular season at Dallas on Sunday. Buccaneer Magazine has the latest on the condition of Pro Bowl C Jeff Christy and Bucs' injury front.

INJURY NOTES In the beginning of the week, the Bucs still thought there might be a chance of Pro Bowl C Jeff Christy starting against Dallas, however, as the week progressed, Christy's condition did not. He will is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Dallas and C Todd Washington will start in his place. Guard/C Leon Hires will likely be brought up from the practice squad and activated for the Bucs-Cowboys' game. The Bucs will have to deactivate one player in order to make Hires active, but Tampa Bay is not yet sure which player that will be.

Buccaneer Magazine has compiled a list of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' injured players and their status three days before the Bucs kickoff of the season against the Cowboys.

INJURY KEY:

OUT= 100 percent chance of not playing.

DOUBTFUL= 25 percent chance of playing.

QUESTIONABLE= 50 percent chance of playing.

PROBABLE= 75 percent chance of playing

The following players are OUT of Sunday's contest between the Buccaneers and Cowboys: DT James Cannida (left knee sprain) and G Russ Hochstein (left foot fracture).

The following Pewter Pirates are listed as DOUBTFUL for the game against Dallas on Sunday: C Jeff Christy (left knee sprain).

The following Buccaneers' players are listed as QUESTIONABLE for Sunday's game: CB Dwight Smith (right foot sprain) and DE Ellis Wyms (left foot sprain).

The following Bucs' players are PROBABLE for the Bucs-Cowboys' game: None
