Bucs Sign DE Ron Warner To Practice Squad

September 10 - Tampa Bay released DE Ron Warner from their 53-man active roster three days ago in order to make room for practice squad C/G Leon Hires. But on Monday, the Buccaneers signed Warner to their practice squad.

The Buccaneers liked DE Ron Warner enough to keep him around through two preseason roster cut sessions. But because of the MCL injury C Jeff Christy sustained, the Bucs had to release Warner in order to sign C/G Leon Hires to their 53-man active roster for last Sunday's game against Dallas.

On Monday, the Buccaneers signed Warner to their practice squad after he cleared waivers.

Tampa Bay's five-man practice squad is full again. It is occupied by DT DeVone Claybrooks, CB Corey Ivy, TE Mike Roberg, G Eric Thomas and Warner.
