Bucs Sign Punter Bryan Anger to 1-Year Deal

The Buccaneers bring in competition at punter by signing Bryan Anger to a 1-year deal.

The Bucs signed a new punter today, agreeing to a 1 year deal with former 3rd round pick Bryan Anger.

Regarded as one of the worst draft picks in Jacksonville Jaguars history, Anger was drafted over Russell Wilson during the Blaine Gabbert era. In addition to Wilson, Anger was also drafted over Olivier Vernon, the Defensive End who just received a monster contract from the New York Giants. Oh, and Anger was selected before that Malik Jackson guy too.

Anger will go into Bucs camp trying to prove his worth, and maybe make a roster spot. By no means, a sexy move by the Bucs front office, but it never hurts to see if you can get an upgrade on special teams.
