Bucs Blitz NFL Draft Focus: Wide Receivers

Leading up to Thursday night and the NFL Draft, we breakdown the Bucs' needs and the players to remember at that position on draft weekend.

Bucs Need at Wide Receiver: 3.5 out of 5

Sure, the Bucs have invested a lot of picks on the offensive side of the ball the last two years, but their offense is not complete yet either. When you invest in a quarterback to be your franchise quarterback like the Bucs did with Jameis Winston, it is then the responsibility of the organization to surround that quarterback with everything he needs to be elite.

5 Names to Remember on Draft Weekend:

Corey Coleman | Baylor | 1st Round
Coleman is an electric playmaker. He might never be a true go-to receiver, but he's a big play waiting to happen.

Sterling Shepard | Oklahoma | 2nd Round
Shepard might become an elite slot receiver in the NFL. Excellent route runner with good hands.

Braxton Miller | Ohio State | 3rd Round
Miller could be a freaky playmaker, but he's still new to the position. With Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson, the Bucs may have the luxury to properly develop him.

Leonte Carroo | Rutgers | 3rd Round
Carroo is one of my favorite players in the draft. I think he can play inside or outside, and catches the ball consistently with his hands.

Mike Thomas | Southern Miss | 5th Round
Solid receiver who's under-the-radar, but the Bucs new OC in Todd Monken knows him well.
