WHEN:: Sunday, Dec. 23 at 1:00 p.m. ET. on FOX

LAST WEEK: The New Orleans Saints lost at home to the St. Louis Rams on Monday Night Football, 34-21.
Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were blown out on the road by the Chicago Bears, 27-3.
LAST SEASON The New Orleans Saints won the NFC West Division and advanced to the second-round of the playoffs before being eliminated by the Minnesota Vikings.
THE LAST TIME THESE TWO TEAMS MET: Nov. 7, 1999: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the New Orleans Saints at the Superdome, 31-16.
PLAYOFF SCENERIO: Although the Bucs and Saints are both 7-6, Tampa Bay currently has the sixth playoff spot because they have a better conference record. If the Bucs win, Tampa Bay will essentially be two games ahead of New Orleans and will only have to win one of their remaining two games in order to secure the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC. If the Saints win, New Orleans will be two games ahead of the Bucs because they will have a one-game lead and have the tie breaker edge in terms of head-to-head competition. So, whatever team wins on Sunday, they will only have to win one more game in order to make the playoffs and knock the other team out.
BUCS-SAINTS SERIES: The New Orleans Saints lead the all-time series with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 13-6. The Saints have won the last 5-of-7 meetings against the Bucs, but Tampa Bay has won two of the last three games. The last time the Saints visited Tampa was in 1996, where the Bucs defeated them, 13-7.
