BUCS NOTES By Jeff Berlinicke With his 3-yard touchdown reception on the first offensive series of downs, Bucs WR Joey Galloway scored his fourth and fifth touchdowns over his last three games. It also marked Galloway's third straight game with a touchdown reception.
DE Dwayne White made his first start of the season while Greg Spires was moved to DT for the first time all year.
Galloway's 59-yard touchdown return was the ninth in team history and the first since 2002.
The Bucs recorded back-to-back sacks on consecutive plays in the third quarter. Ronde Barber nailed New Orleans quarterback Aaron Brooks and, a play later, Simeon Rice recorded his second sack of the game. He now has 30 multi-sacks in his NFL career.
Rookie WR Michael Clayton surpassed 1,000 yards rushing on the season and became the sixth player in Bucs history to achieve that feat.
TE Dave Moore made a 5-yard reception in the fourth quarter to put him over the 2,000-yard mark for his career.
The Bucs recorded a season-high seven sacks.
New Orleans' 4-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter that cut the deficit to 17-14 marked the first touchdown the Bucs allowed at home in 13 quarters.
