Bucs Add Two Linebackers To Their Roster

April 4 – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made two more roster moves on the eve of their first mini-camp under head coach Jon Gruden. The Bucs claimed New York Giants linebacker Jack Golden and signed free agent linebacker Andre Offing on Thursday. Terms of for both players were not disclosed.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added two more players to their roster on Thursday. The Bucs claimed New York Giants linebacker Jack Golden and signed free agent linebacker Andre Offing. Terms for both players were not disclosed.

Golden (6-1, 240) spent the last two seasons as a backup outside linebacker for the Giants. He also saw significant playing time on special teams. Golden signed with New York as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Oklahoma State in 2000. He has seen action in all 32 games over the past two seasons, including Super Bowl XXXV.

Offing (6-0, 240) did not play in the league last year, but did spend training camp with the Detroit Lions before he was released. He spent his collegiate career with South Carolina, where he recorded 189 tackles and one sack.
