Bucs Sign DE Kipps To One-Year Contract

May 30 - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed undrafted free agent defensive end Kyle Kipps to a one-year contract on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Kipps, a product of Louisiana State University, had a tryout with the Bucs during the team's first offseason mini-camp.

Kipps (6-4, 261) was given a tryout by the Bucs during the team's first offseason mini-camp in early April. He will compete with defensive ends Greg Spires, Ron Warner, Corey White and John Stamper for a backup role behind starters Simeon Rice and Marcus Jones.

Kipps recorded 53 tackles, three sacks and recovered one fumble in his two seasons as LSU's defensive end. Before he made the switch to defensive end, Kipps started 13 games at tight end for the Tigers.
