The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed seventh-round draft pick, cornerback Tim Wansley, to a three-year contract on Wednesday. Wansley was the first of Tampa Bay's four 2002 seventh-round draft picks.

Wansley (5-foot-8, 180) was a two-year starter for the Georgia Bulldogs at cornerback and was a major contributor on special teams. In 2000, Wansley had 71 tackles, 12 passes broken up and six interceptions -- two of which were returned for touchdowns. He excelled on special teams as a gunner and was named as the Bulldogs' special teams captain in 2001.

The Buccaneers also placed quarterback Joe Hamilton (ACL) and linebacker Eugene McClasin (ACL) on the injured reserve list as a result of the injuries each of them suffered during their NFL Europe campaigns.

In addition, Tampa Bay released fullback Mike Cerimele. He signed with the Bucs as a free agent on April 23.
