Pewter Report MVP: WR Keenan McCardell

September 8 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Keenan McCardell is this week's Pewter Player of the Game. He hauled in six passes for 65 yards against the Saints, including a 4-yard touchdown pass from QB Brad Johnson.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Keenan McCardell continued his scoring ways. After scoring two touchdowns in the preseason, both in the friendly confines of Raymond James Stadium, McCardell came through for the Bucs in the third quarter with a 4-yard touchdown catch to cut New Orleans' lead to 13-10. For his efforts, McCardell is this week's Pewter Report Pewter Player of the Game.

McCardell was a prime target for quarterback Brad Johnson, hauling in a team-high six catches for 63 yards, including the touchdown. His longest gain of the day was a 16-yarder.

On one reception in the second half, McCardell displayed textbook form for catching passes near the sidelines. He dug his toes into the turf at Raymond James Stadium and stretched out to the make the acrobatic catch.
