Pewter Report MVP: FB Mike Alstott

October 13 - Tampa Bay fullback Mike Alstott scored both of the Bucs' touchdowns and rushed 17 times for 126 yards in Tampa Bay's 17-3 win over Cleveland. "The A-Train" is the Pewter Player of the Game.

Pewter Report's Pewter Player of the Game is none other than Mike Alstott. Who else was more deserving than the A-Train, who had struggled running the ball before becoming the workhorse for Tampa Bay in the second half. Alstott rushed for a season-high 126 yards on 17 carries, with 15 of those carries coming in the second half.

Alstott scored his second rushing touchdown of the day on a 17-yard cutback run in the fourth quarter. On that drive Alstott accounted for all 55 yards on five carries. The A-Train finished the day with a huge 7.4 rushing average and took advantage of a fatigued Cleveland team in the second half.

His longest carry of the day was a 25-yarder, which marks the Bucs' longest run from scrimmage this season. Alstott also had two catches for 13 yards.
