Jon Gruden Transcript — Dec. 20

Here is the complete post-practice transcript of Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden for Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007:

on if practice has been lighter this week

No, there's been no change at all.

on Adams and Greg White giving the Bucs a nice pass-rushing tandem lately

Yep, they sure have. And we're going to need a lot more from those guys as we go on.

on Earnest Graham closing in on 1,000 rushing yards

It's obviously a great feat to get 1,000 yards. He's accomplished a lot of great things already. We're going to concentrate on winning the games and Earnest will have a lot to say on if we do or not.

on if it's good to get Michael Clayton back in the mix

We'd like to get Ike [Hilliard] back in the mix, too, and [Maurice] Stovall. We'd like to get all the guys in the mix. We think Mike is coming on and that's good. We think he's a really good player.

on the plans for Friday's trips

I haven't really checked it but we'll practice tomorrow as we always do and then we'll leave tomorrow afternoon. We'll have a walk-through in the stadium, Monster Park. We'll go there and then we'll have our normal Saturday evening meetings and play the game Sunday. We'll try to get acclimated to the time change. We're leaving Friday because it was moved up to a 1:00 game (San Francisco time).

on if the week off helped B.J. Askew

I don't know. It's hard to say. He's making strides. He's clearly not 100 percent but it's great to have him back out there.

on getting TE Jerramy Stevens back

It's good for us. He's a guy we think we can use in situations in the passing game and I think he's improved as a run-blocker. We'd like to see a lot of him here in the next couple weeks.
