Pewter Report MVP: Brad Johnson

November 3 - Tampa Bay quarterback Brad Johnson had one of his best performances as a Buccaneer against Minnesota Sunday. Johnson completed 24-of-31 passes for 313 yards and tossed five touchdown passes. For his efforts, Johnson is this week's Pewter Player of the Game.

What a performance by Bucs quarterback Brad Johnson, who completed 24-of- 31 passes (77 percent) for a season-best 313 yards and a career-high five touchdowns against Minnesota in Tampa Bay's 38-24 win. Johnson's five TDs ties Steve DeBerg for the club record (vs. Atlanta, 9/13/87). Johnson's previous career-best was four touchdowns (vs. Arizona 12/1/96 and at Carolina 10/3/99). For his efforts, Johnson is this week's Pewter Player of the Game.

Johnson's 100th career touchdown came on his 15-yard scoring strike to Karl Williams. Johnson also had a 2-yard TD toss to tight end Rickey Dudley, a 5-yard touchdown pass to fullback Mike Alstott and a pair of touchdowns to Keyshawn Johnson from 2 yards and 19 yards out. He did not throw any interceptions and was not sacked once.
