Bucs, Wilson reportedly agree to deal

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added former Patriots safety Eugene Wilson to its roster on Friday, a long-rumored contract that finally came to fruition.

New England safety Eugene Wilson has agreed to a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The deal was first reported by ESPN and confirmed by Wilson's agent, James Sims.

Wilson spent five years with the Patriots, playing primarily safety. The Buccaneers want Wilson to play cornerback, and that may explain why the only agreed to a one-year contract.
