BUCS MAKE SEVERAL ROSTER MOVES:
Tampa Bay made several roster moves Wednesday. The Bucs signed guard/tackle Dan Goodspeed to its 53-man roster and released guard/tackle Tutan Reyes.

Goodspeed, who spent time with Bucs offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Bill Muir in New York on the Jets' practice squad, was signed to the Bucs' five-man practice squad on Sept. 4 before being released on Oct. 9. He was then re-signed to the team's practice unit on Oct. 16.

In addition to those two moves, the Bucs signed defensive tackle DeVone Claybrooks to its practice squad and released defensive end Greg White.

Claybrooks, who entered the league as an undrafted free agent with Green Bay in May of 2001, spent time on Tampa Bay's practice squad last season.

INJURY UPDATE:
The Buccaneers held their first of two practices this week on Wednesday. Bucs wide receiver Keenan McCardell (fractured scapula) and left guard Kerry Jenkins (fractured orbital) participated in the practice. Tampa Bay WR Joe Jurevicius (ankle/knee sprain) did not.

"Keenan McCardell returned to work today," said Gruden. "Joe Jurevicius did not. Kerry Jenkins took part in some drill work today. Hopefully these guys will be full-speed and ready to go next week. They'll be limited this week. We've got some guys that returning to health. We rested Warren Sapp (knee) and Dexter Jackson (foot) – they've just got some soreness. We're going to try to use this week wisely to freshen some guys up."

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
Bucs head coach Jon Gruden on whether or not he wants his players to get away from football during the bye week:

"I try not to get involved with their personal lives," Gruden said smiling. "The only guy I worry about is Simeon Rice. He's from a different galaxy. There's no telling where he's going with three days off. But I've got private eyes on his tail. So, Simeon, man. If you're listening, you better watch out."
