Just one day after Tampa Bay released him from their 53-man roster, the Buccaneers re-signed guard/tackle Tutan Reyes to its five-man practice squad Thursday.
Reyes was released Wednesday in order to make room for tackle Dan Goodspeed, who was signed to the team's 53-man roster after spending the first nine weeks of the of the regular season on the practice squad.
BUCS CONCLUDE PRACTICE FOR THE WEEK:
The Buccaneers players can finally reap the benefits of its bye week since the team held its last practice of the week on Thursday morning. The players will have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off, but they'll return to One Buccaneer Place Monday in order to begin preparing for the Carolina Panthers.
Both wide receiver Keenan McCardell (fractured scapula) and left guard Kerry Jenkins (fractured orbital) practiced for the second consecutive day. Jenkins sported a dark visor on his helmet to protect his injured eye. He's expected to wear the shield for the remainder of the season.
Bucs free safety Dexter Jackson (sore foot), WR Joe Jurevicius (sprained ankle), center Jeff Christy and defensive tackles Warren Sapp (sore knee) and Anthony McFarland (fractured forearm) were held out of Thursday's practice.
