Bucs Add Two More To Injury Report

November 14 – The Buccaneers added two more players to its injury report on Thursday afternoon. Tampa Bay rookie running back Travis Stephens and defensive end Corey Smith will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Carolina.

Tampa Bay rookie running back Travis Stephens and defensive end Corey Smith (left knee sprain) were both added to the Buccaneers' injury report on Thursday afternoon after sustaining injuries during the team's two-hour practice.

Bucs head coach Jon Gruden suggested during the bye week that he might use Stephens, who was inactive for eight of Tampa Bay's nine regular season games, more in his offense for second half of the season. But Tampa Bay's 2002 fourth-round draft pick suffered a left big toe sprain on Thursday, which could temporarily alter that plan.

Both Stephens and Smith are listed as questionable for the team's game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Bucs defensive tackle Warren Sapp, who was added to the Bucs' infirmary report late Wednesday, was held out of practice on Thursday with a lower back strain. While Sapp missed practice, he's expected to play in Sunday's game.

"We held Warren today," said Bucs head coach Jon Gruden. "He's had a little bit of back spasms, and we'll see how it feels tomorrow. Maybe he'll get a little practice in tomorrow. We expect him to play but we're holding him. He's got a little soreness in there and we're going to try to get the big fella right."

Both Bucs center Jeff Christy (knee strain) and wide receiver Joe Jurevicius (ankle/knee sprain) practiced for the second consecutive day on Thursday. They're both listed as probable and expected to play against the Panthers.
