Pewter Report MVP: Martin Gramatica

December 15 - has selected Tampa Bay kicker Martin Gramatica as the Pewter Player of the Game against Detroit. He drilled 3-of-3 field goal attempts against Detroit, including the game-winning 38-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter. Gramatica also had two huge tackles on kickoffs to prevent touchdowns.

Tampa Bay kicker Martin Gramatica won last year's contest in Detroit with a fourth quarter field goal, 20-17. He would do the same again on Sunday, winning the game with a 38-yard field goal with 3:04 remaining in regulation to make the final score 23-20 and picking up this week's Pewter Player of the Game award.

On a day when Gramatica had to be perfect for the Bucs to win their 11th game of the season, continue their quest to become NFC South champions and secure homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, Gramatica was, nailing 3-of-3 kicks, including kicks from 20 and 28 yards.

Gramatica has already missed seven field goals this season, which is the most in his career, but has come up big in winning two tight road contests at Carolina and at Detroit. Gramatica also had two huge tackles on kickoffs to prevent TDs.
