I'm very interested to see what moves are made (and not made) this offseason on the Oline. I think we would all agree that Levi Brown can be a decent LT as evidenced by his play in 2011 in the 2nd half of the season. We have some nice building blocks for depth and starter on the right side in Potter and Massie respectively. We have a decent depth chart guy that can play every position except LT in Snyder.
However, Michael Bidwill indicated a desire for a powerful rushing attack and physicality on the line that has been lacking. I agree with the owner, and I have just not seen that from Colledge here or in GB. I haven't seen that from Sendlein either. The last regime hung us out to dry with the contracts for these guys. Does anyone think Colledge should be a $7 million/yr. player ? How about Sendlein and his multi-million dollar deal ? If we cut these guys we essentially have the cap hit without the player. So we aren't going to see this line blown up even though we need to shed some of those who are under peforming for whatever reason.
Also combine the comments made by Bidwill and the style of Offense put on by BA. BA throws it a lot, that's why the Steelers let him walk. They wanted to run the ball more. We will be able to tell a lot about how this team will shape out based on how the O-line is built over the next 2 months.
