--The Cardinals' seven-game losing streak is the longest since the team lost eight consecutive games in 2006. At 3-9, the Cardinals are assured of having their first losing record in four seasons under coach Ken Whisenhunt.
--The losing is wearing on many of the coaches and players, especially veterans who have experienced success before. "This sucks," said outside linebacker Clark Haggans. "There are not words for this. We're being tested, physically and mentally. At the end of the day, the lesson will be learned."
So what's the lesson?
"I don't know," Haggans said, "but things like that are unveiled at some time, some point."
Running back Tim Hightower called losing "painful."
He said, "It hurts. God, it hurts. I can speak for the rest of my teammates: We hate losing. Three and nine? That's nine losses. It sucks."
--QB John Skelton, a fifth-round pick out of Fordham, played in his first NFL game Sunday, but said he wasn't too nervous. "I guess I'm about as nervous as a third-string quarterback going into his first action can be," he said. "Nothing overwhelming or anything like that."
--The team has scored just one touchdown in its past three games, and that came on the final play of a blowout loss in Kansas City.
--QB Derek Anderson is suffering from concussion symptoms and will undergo the league-mandated neurological tests before he is cleared to play.
--QB Max Hall suffered a dislocated left shoulder. It was popped back into place on the field but Hall is expected to miss three to four weeks. Injured reserve seems a possibility.
--WR Larry Fitzgerald caught four passes, tying him with Anquan Boldin as the franchise's all time leader with 586.
--CB Greg Toler played after missing two games with a left foot injury. Michael Adams continues to start in his place.
--DE Calais Campbell returned to the starting lineup after missing a game with a sprained ankle. Campbell wasn't 100 percent, yet he had a sack and knocked down a pass.
