--TE Ben Patrick didn't play because of a sore hamstring. He tested it in pre-game warmups but could not go.
--TE Stephen Spach suffered a torn left calf muscle during pre-game warmups and could not play. Because Patrick had been declared inactive, the Cardinals were down to one tight end, rookie Jim Dray.
--WR Larry Fitzgerald caught a 10-yard touchdown pass for his first score since Nov. 21. That one came in garbage time, on the last play of the game against the Chiefs. Fitzgerald scored six touchdowns this season, tying a career low.
--QB Richard Bartel became the fourth quarterback to play for the Cardinals this season. He took over for John Skelton in the fourth quarter and completed 16 of 28 for 150 yards. But he had an interception returned for a touchdown.
--LS Mike Leach entered the league as a tight end but had not played the position for several years. He was forced into action when Ben Patrick and Stephen Spach were unable to play at all. That left Jim Dray as the team's only healthy tight end.
