--Coach Ken Whisenhunt is evaluating his coaching staff and won't say if he anticipates changes.
"Again, it's less than 24 hours since we finished the season," he said. "We started the process of evaluating and we're going to evaluate everything."
--OG Alan Faneca and NT Bryan Robinson will contemplate retirement this offseason. Faneca, who has played 13 seasons, will get away with his family and take some time to make a decision.
Robinson, who played 14 seasons, will consider retirement but he's not going to pursue a job. "My agent is not going to call 31 other teams," he said.
--Upgrading the quarterback position will be a priority this offseason. "We didn't get the play out of that position that we needed," Whisenhunt said. "If that means a veteran, if that means draft, I don't know right now."
--OLB Clark Haggans will undergo surgery to repair a sports hernia, which bothered him over the last month of the season.
--CB Michael Adams will undergo shoulder surgery. He played through the injury for much of the season.
--OLB Joey Porter would like to return to the Cardinals next year if the team wants him. That's questionable, however. Porter finished with just five sacks and did not provide the pass rush the club hoped.
--QB John Skelton went 2-2 as a starter in the last month of the season. That inexperience was invaluable for him, he said, even though Skelton didn't play well enough to convince anyone he's a franchise player.
--ILB Gerald Hayes likely won't return to Arizona for his ninth season. Hayes was benched three weeks for ineffective play. He was replaced by Daryl Washington.
